Champs-Martin Mercurey 1er Cru Pinot Noir

2006 vintage. Takes a minute to flesh out and come into its own, but when it does... dried cranberry, wild strawberry, old leaves, graphite, dried violets, and red apple skin. Good, mature Burgundy. Merry Christmas! — 8 years ago

Vin de Pays d'Oc Pinot Noir 2016

Bouchard Aine and Fils 2016 pinot noir. The bouquet is hot cherry pie. Big cherry fruit on the beginning with caramel and vanilla notes in the middle. The finish is completely wonderful with strawberry and oak. The finish has no sourness and ends mildly dry leaving a thirst for more!!! And its 10 dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! — 6 years ago

Bouchard Finlayson

Tête de Cuvée Galpin Peak Pinot Noir 2009

Medium to Deep Ruby. Aromas of ripe red and black fruits, coffee with spicy oak. Woody notes. A Shiraz drinkers Pinot! One of the bigger Pinots I have tried and certainly one of the first from South Africa. Latent Power and maybe tasted a little young even at 8 years of age. A joint venture between Burgundian house Bouchard Aine et Fils and Peter Finlayson. Would love to try this in 5 to 10 years. Bought this 1 bottle at a shop in Stellenbosch in SA in 2012 but the wine is from Walker Bay. Enjoyable but unPinot like. One of the 1001 wines. — 7 years ago

Vaudésirs Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2011

2011 is definitely not the best year - a way too complex and bitter for a nice Chardonnay — 9 years ago
