Pale red tastes great on day 2. Light, fragrant, delicate. Easy to drink but not too easy. — 7 years ago
Different! Schiave grape (grauvernatsche) old vines. Pale, light in alcohol (12.5%) violets to the fore with red fruits.
Enjoyed with roast veal and spätzle. — 8 years ago
Bevuto più volte nell'ultimo anno, è un vino semplice, delicato e profumato. Un every day wine buono da bere con salumi e formaggi ma anche fuori pasto. — 11 years ago
— 3 years ago
Light, transparent ruby. No shortage of funk on the nose - lots of manure, mushrooms, and dried herb with little to no fruit. Medium, but gritty, tannins and less acid than I was expecting. In the mouth the earthiness continues with dark, stewed fruit - lots of plums. This smells better than it taste, but was different and enjoyable for pizza night. — 6 years ago
Light body but with acid, tannin and dark fruit. — 8 years ago
Delicious and refreshing. Maybe a little oak but the fruit is so bright. — 11 years ago

This is what Vernatsch is all about!
Light (11.5% alc) and crystal clean yet quite expressive with cherries and plumes and cranberries. There’s also a whiff of lemon peel and a stony, herby undertone.
Crisp & light on the palate and very, very juicy with a pinch of herby spice and a mineral backbone. Despite all it’s lightness this has loads of precision, character & personality. Love it!! — 5 years ago

Lipsmacker goddamn.
Center of savory tartness--Perfect summer chill-able red. — 9 years ago
Wild strawberry, bright cherry and tons of minerals. A touch out of balance with the abv. This needs time to coalesce. But not long. — 11 years ago
Really jazzed about this wine - light but with good texture. Strawberry and other bright fruit! — 12 years ago

Brick rim and super pale transparent salmon color. Some pink and purple floral aromatics on the nose, a little funk but not overpowering or off putting whatsoever.
Great acidity, balanced alcohol, very smooth and light tannin that linger to deliver a peppery finish. Overall complex and delicate on the palate with amarena cherry flavor and some artificial pink candy like hubba bubba or cotton candy saltwater taffy. Really desirable minerality similar to the whites I’ve tried from this region. i don’t think you need to chill this before drinking. Would definitely recommend and I’d buy it again for $20 in that 90-92 range for me. — 2 years ago
