Espresso Style Martini

Okay I unabashedly love sweet coffee treats and this is one with booze. It’s my preteen iced-mocha-cappucino whatever we added sugar to WITH booze and it is delicious. Come at me. — 4 years ago

Coffee Liqueur

Here's to White Russians! I've gotta say after my first day in Chicago I'm enjoying almost everything about this city. I'd like to think I can run a big wine program someday in a big city so here I am, gandering around town enjoying a new culture all together. Watched the Cubs lose tonight with some friends I made✅ had deep dish pizza✅ I'm a block away from Eataly so the Italian wine reviews are coming😎 — 7 years ago

@Bill Bender broooo, the reviews that don't immediately update because you receive them from your camera are annoying. Like idk why it doesn't instantly pop into the feed! It doesn't show up to others for a week. But anyways I'm thinking of visiting San Diego this winter, what times are you usually free?

I didn’t even know that was a thing @Chris Parrino as for a visit...my availability varies but I have a fair amount of freedom. Just give me a heads up when you know. I’d love to open some bottles with you.

Gallo Family Vineyards

Signature Series Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Another wine from Gallo's Signature series, I'll be the first to confess that I'm pleasantly surprised at how nice these wines are, given the extraordinary prices of most Napa Cabs. It's a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, the bulk of which is from Gallo's William Hill Vineyard, with a dash of Monte Rosso thrown in. My first impression is of dust, followed by cassis, violets,
Kahlúa, dark chocolate, and pencil shavings. It’s an elegant wine, caressingly smooth on the palate—a sensation that glides into a vein of minerality, and interestingly, at the back palate, the impression of
pure, juicy blackberries. This Cab isn’t leading with fruit, rather it leads with structure, intensity and a dash of freshly ground black pepper followed by cedar and bay leaf. 14.9% ABV | Sample
