Bright and a tad hot. Some pepper/spice. Cherry cola with soft tannins and a TON of acidity. Almost an effervescence which never hurts my feelings. Smells candy sweet but drinks with a bit more maturity. — 3 years ago

Very nice muddled earth-stewed red fruits and blackberries. Definitely a stereotypically natty wine; no surprise being imported by J&F, but still a lot of complexity and balance here with a short decant. Nice and lovely for a fairly entry level Kekfrankos despite being a bit powerful/extracted, with potential for short-term cellaring. — 5 years ago

Other raters may have opened this baby too early. Now Clos St. J is deeply intense with blackberry, Garrigue and fennel. Very pure flavors. No alcohol burn at all. A real decadent pleasure. — 3 years ago
