Pleasantly different wine for me. Rose petal nose, dark sweet plum and black cherry flavor. Age smoothed the tannins a lot, but the acid and profile is good.
Paired for dinner of Greek blood orange and tomato chicken. Like I'm in the Adriatic now!

This wine is a real treasure if you can find it. My friend chef Ivo saved this bottle for me to enjoy at his Italian restaurant in Tokyo. It did not disappoint. Really enjoyed this. Would definitely buy it again if I can find it. Hat tip to chef Ivo. — 8 years ago
