This wine is a golden yellow in the glass. The nose shows minerals, apples, stone fruit, and salinity with a lanolin backbeat. The palate has those same traits, but leans a bit heavier into the salinity. The acidity is fresh, but not razor-sharp. It finishes medium long. I paired mine with a lentil and sweet potato salad, with a good result. — 5 months ago

Starting my 3 week exploration of Portuguese wines with this entry level white from Alentejo.
A blend of Arinto, Verdehlo, Gouveio, Alvarinho and Viosinho aged partially in concrete and partially in used wood.
Golden in colour with green reflexes. Nice character, southern in style, a bit (nicely) rustic with ripe lemons, dried herbs, a bit of white peach. A touch of spicy, waxy, smoky notes. Rich, savoury and fresh.
On the palate this is medium bodied, with nice balance & freshness. Good depth & length and suitable for late afternoon terrace sipping but also will hold its weight with food.
A very nice effort. — 3 months ago
Top-pick value for money. Great blend (ideal combo for Chardonnay wine-lovers that also want that great specific Portuguese Alentejano touch). 2019 is very refined & balanced. — 3 years ago
Waxy lemons with a hint of dried herbs, a hint of lime, a slight whiff of mint. Fresh, savoury, quite cool.
On the palate this is medium to light, juicy, fresh. A beautifully surprising 12.5% alc (for Alentejo!) clear, crisp, with great flow and a herby, slightly spicy finish.
Delightful!
A blend of Arinto, Antao Vaz and Viosinho. — 2 months ago
I am not quite sure of the varietals in this blend. . However, the fruit and the acidity is in near perfect harmony. A really nice tasting blanco from Portugal. — 2 years ago
McCarthy & Schiering, $11
Bursting with tropical flavors, lots of pineapple and guava, almost reminds me of POG juice. Balanced with a crisp acidity and very easy to drink. Amazing for the price, I immediately went back and grabbed 2 more bottles — 2 years ago

Got at the most amazing local and old method winery in the Douro Valley. A blend of old and new grapes - just enough sweetness and a beautiful floral bouquet! — 2 months ago
