Surprisingly elegant and supple for a Napa Valley Petite Syrah. Dark berry, savory herbs and baking spices. A very nice bottle! — 7 years ago

A dark, spice and mineral driven Rhône blend, supple balance and lengthy in its fine tannic grip. I really thought the new oak was very balanced and deft, highlighting the savory spice of blend and mineral core the site brings. — 7 years ago

On Monday night I popped this and let the bottle sit for about a half hour. Then I poured a glass and I was really disappointed. A lot of heat and a sharp bite on the finish. Spice and prickly cinnamon stick that was off putting. About 2 hours later the finish had softened but it was still quite wound up. After work tonight I poured another glass hoping for more. Well I got it in spades. The spice is still there but it's complementary now. Now the fruit is vivacious and inviting. Black cherry, smoke and maple. It's earthy and wild but also silky and sumptuous. Rosemary apparently knows her Syrah too. Bravo. — 7 years ago
