1hr+ decant. Needed it. Deep dark red color w/purple rims. Nose had baking spices, anise, and subtle vanilla. Similar on the palate with dark fruit and a great texture. Classic Napa with Old World elements. Deep wine with solid finish. I love the G Major but this was really good too. Many years left. — a year ago
Great aroma, medium viscosity, light (can drink alone or with food). — 5 years ago
Outstanding California creation! Treat from Jay W. Had it with charcuteries and could have drank it all night. Great out of the bottle and spectacular as it opened up. — 3 years ago

Wild stuff - big bold brash - you don’t expect that w/this varietal, but this had all kinds of body & texture. Austere nose til it warmed up then it was throwing aromas like lime peel, green tea, Granny Smith, kiwi - green things… plenty of acidity, mineral & resoundingly dry finish. Anomaly / interesting, not sure we loved it — a year ago
Bright, light yellow. Gingery Granny Smith apple, lime and minerals on the nose, plus a whiff of orange blossom. Round on entry, then sappy, supple and intense in the middle palate, showing enticing mineral and spicy lift to its very pure citrus fruit and apple flavors. There's substantial residual sugar (16.9 grams per liter) here but brisk balancing acidity (8.6 g/l). The element of saline minerality carries through on the long aftertaste, titillating the taste buds. This, too, is a steal for the price and pretty irresistible right now. And that's almost a shame, as this Riesling has a track record of gaining in interest with cellaring. (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, December 2020) — 4 years ago
