Trittenheimer Apotheke Riesling Beerenauslese 1976

Tasted blind. Dark gold color. The nose easily suggests its an old German wine, and coming from Stan who loves older German juice, we all guess mid-70’s German. Had notes of sweet fruit, petrol and stone. Great, lasting finish. This was great today but will easily last for years to come. A great finishing bottle to a pretty great day of wine. We had some pent up demand for getting together and everyone supported the cause with great pulls from their cellars. — 4 years ago

Bernkasteler Badstube Auslese Riesling 1971

Beautiful golden color with dark orange hue. Resinous on the nose, very nutty and tertiary. Dried apricot and salty finish. Has dried out quite a bit over the years. A real treasure. — 6 years ago

Trittenheimer Apotheke Auslese Riesling 1983

A phenomenal vintage for FWG! Amazingly pale for its age, with a very finely honeyed nose of apricot blossom, white rose petals, and lime leaves. Fabulous acidity and amazing freshness. Only delicately sweet; perhaps some has dropped off with age. The perfect start to the meal! — 8 years ago
