Willamette Valley Pinot Gris 2015

V15. Over delivers for the price. Nice pear, melon and limestone nose. Hints of fusel oil early on. Juicy pear fruit, with a hint of melon fruit. Clean, mineral finish. Nice entertaining wine. — 3 years ago

Oregon Pinot Gris 2002

OK, most people probably don’t drink 18-year old Pinot Gris, but such adventures have their rewards. It has a beautiful peachy color and tastes like a softer version of Fino sherry. Actually delicious, nice nutty flavor. — 5 months ago

Barbera d'Asti 2001

When first opened, the flavors were kind of confused. But after breathing for about 45 minutes it was outstanding. Flavors of figs, dates, dried cranberries and earth. The wine is dry with a good long finish. It went well with the pork chop I paired it with. It was even better with my kids’ red Italian pasta dishes. I’m not sure if Barbera d’Asti is usually aged this long, but it worked. Many thanks to my brother Mike for providing this unique wine. It made celebrating my daughter’s birthday extra nice. — 7 months ago
