Terre del Mago Riserva Barolo Perno Nebbiolo 2016

2016 vintage. Light-medium body. Tasted over the course of an hour. Cherry cola morphing to Jolly Rancher cherry morphing to Luxardo cherry flavors/scents. You get the laser-like, cherry pit-point. More acidic than tannic if that makes sense. Some rose petals afoot. Hints of tar/petroleum. Smear of earth. Slightly flighty with so much cherry dependence but it works now. Could drop a smidgen of cherry tendencies in the next 5-10 years and things would likely resolve themselves on the back end but zero experience with this loose goose...er...rabbit. Intriguing and definitely worth investigating. 11.27.24. — a month ago
