Piffero Vineyard Zinfandel 2013

Very good Zin from Mendocino. Fruity and spicy. Ruby red with zest. Berries mix. Lively awakens your mouth. Felt like a Zin today and this hits the mark. Had it at Huisache Grill. — 7 years ago

Gianoli Vineyard Zinfandel 2013

Amazing brambly nose with spice and red fruit. Palate is bright and lively, cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, chocolate and a long finish. Paired quite successfully with a pan-seared ribeye infused with blue cheese. — 8 years ago

Shamrock Vineyard Zinfandel 2017

High bar set with Edmeades. This pole vaulted over it. Classic Mendocino Zin with oomph. Tastes like it smells. — 4 years ago

Mendocino County Zinfandel 2013

Nose of a classic zin - dark berry filled fresh baked scone.

A good solid zin. Not too hedonistic, more focused and less Jam.
Blackberry bramble, anise, astringent tannins. Hump day wine.
For those who love a good zin at a great price.

Mendocino County Petite Sirah 2013

This wine is made only when the grapes are right, in select vintages. 2013 was such a year. This dark wine smells delicious, with dark fruit challenged by oak spice, cedar and vanilla being the most prominent. The nose is complex, with notes of licorice, cinnamon and blackberry coming forth. Tobacco and chocolate abet those flavors on the palate. It’s 93% Petite Sirah and 7% Zinfandel, with mostly neutral oak use in the aging. Alcohol hits 14.5% abv and only 250 cases were made. — 8 years ago
