I have no idea what those who gave the 2009 La Millière average ratings were drinking. It is a beautifully concentrated wine, showing deep penetrating fruit with notes of port, candied orange rind, licorice, and pepper. Bit of wet stones and garrigue on the nose. Wonderful! — 7 years ago
@Delectable Wine La Bessade.
Served blind to me (after aerating 2+ hours in the decanter) I guessed this as:
1. Napa CS
2. Syrah (possibly from WA)
3. Cornas
4. Crozes-Hermitage
5. I give up....

I love this stuff. Good red fruit and good balance. Medium bodied, not tremendously complex but affordable and highly enjoyable. — 9 years ago
