2024/9/2-3. There’s some young austerity, but with air the aromas really open, with salted lemon, stone, smoky minerals, flowers and judicious oak. In the palate it’s still quite tight, with ample acid and and austere structure - enjoyable but a bit gangly compared to what it will be at peak. Still, I understand Amiot has lengthened maturation times to near two years, and to me, those echoes of old school producers are very welcome — 5 months ago
Very nice burg, 1er in all but name. Sweet/sour red fruit, black berries, orange peel - medium+ acidity. — 2 years ago

Notes of plum, earth, soy sauce. I thought tannins were still fairly pronounced but not rough. Lovely pairing with our smoked abalone and black cod….. — 2 years ago
Ripe and complex. Very drinkable. — 2 years ago
Really a wonderful Burgundy for the always reliable (and now quite pricey) Bize. This 17 Savigny is in a great spot. High toned, balanced, refreshing acids, good mix of earth and fruit. Perfect pairing with the classic Sunday roast chicken with mushrooms. Tonight drinking better and more enjoyable than the several premier crus we have enjoyed from him in the past few years. — 2 years ago
