This is not your father’s Pinot Gris. Barrel fermented and complex, this PG will support a wide range of fall and winter fare from pasta carbonara and casseroles to roasted poultry and roots. I’ve had this off & on for probably 20 yrs or so and it is so consistent & great value. Voluptuous & Alsatian in style, this vintage is silky & sexy w/generous sweet ripe citrus aromas - ft. lemon chiffon, Bosc pear, jasmine & honeysuckle, apple and a slender slice of stone. Fresh and straight expression of « bio » Pinot Noir. Terroir and small red fruits well ahead (cranberry, redcurrant), relatively round and homogeneous for an Alsatian wine, with a slight specific mineral tension. serve at 10-12 degrees. Vin de Pays de la Loire Sauvignon Gris 2006


First encounter with this unusual grape from Muscadet region. Kermit Lynch import. Thought Alsatian due to bottle shape. Nice medium yellow color and floral stone fruits and chalky nose fading to asparagus (according to Leila). Lucious profile carrying through to palate with firm texture to long acidic finish. Great with the salmon and leeks. Too bad only bottle AA 13. — 12 days ago


Estate Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Gris 2018

Produced since 1994 and named for Mt. Jefferson in the Cascade Range that is east of Cristom Vineyards and visible from their tasting room. From a blend of estate vineyard grapes, the wine is Ruby with aromas of red berries, floral and spice. On the palate flavors of fresh strawberry with tea leaves and cola notes, clean and vibrant. Fine soft tannins, long finish, carrying fruit and ending with a soft spice character. Very nice, great value!! — 11 days ago

Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Gris 2017

Beautiful. Nose is supple, creamy/butter/wood, earth with a bit of sea spray under some brightness: melon. Delicious palate for me. As you can see, I am not the best with descriptors yet, but this is a lovely white with some depth and complexity, smooth and creamy with lovely silhouetted brightness.
