Well now Meyer lemons vanilla beans (dating oak trees so...) and a butter churned all couldn’t decide what wine to make and contributed equally. This is exquisite. The acid sings and the lemon and oak sing backup. Delightful. It’s balance of many contenders. All flavors and nuances may not be feisty but all together they are worth enjoying. So nice to taste chardonnay with oak that blends seamlessly into the other fun flavors of a ripe but acidity Chardonnay. So good so get the H in — 6 years ago

Earthy and red cherry with moderate plus acidty, light mouthfeel. Medium finish and pleasant tannins that lingered awhile. Definitely a fan. — 8 years ago
First encounter, aged St. Chinian Languedoc blend of 70/15/15 Syrah/Grenache Noir/Mourvedre. Mature red plummy with animal earthy savory notes and nice firm texture with acidic balance carrying through to finish. Still hints of oak at this age. Interesting. Great with Amahs pork. AA13 — 4 years ago

The color appears on the lighter side of what I would expect from a Rhone syrah. Ruby, quite transparent but no bricking yet. The wine airs well with a lot of flowery characters - rose petal, violet, and a slight hint of vine stem. Structurally in tact at 4 years of age. Medium plus acidity and tannin. Elegant with, again, floral showing on the palate backed by red cherry, some earthy, and mushroomy notes as well as slight meatiness. Good quaffable Saint Joseph that would do probably better with 4-5 years more of cellaring time. 89+ — 7 years ago
