Beautiful notes of raspberries and blueberries along with some leather. Both follow through on the palate. Juicy orange acidity combined with good tannins. Perhaps a little hot at the back end. Would be great with a steak. A fun and interesting wine. — 7 years ago
Great complexity here. Cherry, earth, mushrooms, a little chocolate. Rich mouthfeel with good acidity and plenty of length. Really enjoyable. — 7 years ago

This Aloxe-Corton Dm Darius delarche 2009. We had this on 10/1/15. Light red color. More earthy on the nose and very pleasant. More minerally than fruity on the palate. But a smooth finish for this medium bodied wine. Well balanced. The region is good and worth buying more. The tannins were smoothed out. — 11 years ago

Nice plum and cherry compote nose. Bit of bitterness. Dry and chocolate-y. Some funky-town. Southern French style and done well. — 9 years ago
Very enjoyable Gerwurtzaminer from Domaine Darius. — 7 years ago
Subtle popcorn, green apple, cinnamon on the nose. On the palate lemon and grapefruit citrus, green apple and a little honey and cinnamon and bright acidity. Very nice complexity and structure. 2018 vintage tasted June 2019. — 7 years ago
Their basic Cabernet is wonderful though pricey. Is actually a Bordeaux blend and is every bit as good as Puriri Hills. Dark and jammy without being too heavy or tannic. At the tasting room we also had the Darius II which was even better but probably outrageously expensive. — 9 years ago

Dark ruby/purple color. Intense aromas of ripe black fruit, graphite and violets. Flavors of blackberry, black plum, coffee and dark chocolate. Long and plush finish with beautifully integrated tannins and well balanced acidity. Rich and creamy mouth coating texture. Fantastic structure both powerful and elegant at the same time. Incredible!Thank you so much for sharing, Petey P! — 7 months ago
