Clear, medium plus ruby in color with maybe a hint of garnet on the rim; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of black currants, cocoa, and vanilla; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of black cherries, cola, sweet tobacco, and wet gravel with a long finish. This wine is complex and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie didn't like it. The alcohol level takes it a bit out of balance and there is a bit too much oak.
