This is a splendid Brunello!!! We visit Tuscany every year and have been avid fans of the Cupano Rosso and Brunello, but this blew our socks off. There is a Cupano connection with this bottling according to our favorite enoreca in Pienza (L'Enoteca di Ghino). We shipped a case back home to the States within 5 minutes of tasting this one. — 8 years ago
Raisins and spices on the nose, oak, pepper, great grip, but of licorice, minerality in finish, excellent — 10 years ago
Only Cupano is above so far. Wow! Master of Brunello! — 7 years ago
Loved. Repeat loved! Unlike the uninspired meal we had, this bottle saved the night. — 8 years ago
Graphite, dried herbs, meats on nose. Good acidity and tannin balance, dark fruit, leather, biting tannins with long finish. — 10 years ago

Interesting new oak on a natural wine. Dripping with it in the best ways — 9 years ago

Our host sort of snuck this into the mix, without fan-fair, during an evening of very lovely wines. Apparently a VdT without a clear and obvious vintage statement. This was Exhibit A for proof that great wines don’t need a vintage date when the juice is this good. Beautiful ruby color with a dark core. Everything on the nose and the palate were in the right place and this immediately took me back to my experiences in Toscano where I drank “generic” jug wine at a random trattoria that was made by the family and I wanted for nothing. I desperately wish more wines like this were in my life. — 4 years ago
