Coni Pinot Noir 2017

Explodes on the palate. Cranberry and creamy sour cherry progresses into underbrush, mushroom, iris and cigar box. The nose gets fleshy and herbal. Rosemary shows strength on the finish. Fine-grained tannins are alluring and persistent. Juicy on the mid-palate... changing in the glass. Nice finesse, balanced... took me by surprise.

Brut Blanc de Noir

David T
9.1

This is the Schwaderer Wines Brut Blanc de Noir sparking. Delectable didn’t have it in their database. This is like really good Prosecco but better. It’s from the Pais grape or what we would call a Mission grape. There is no dosage. The palate is lean and clean. Lychee, light cream soda, soft citrus, nice presence of minerality, white flowers, brilliant acidity and a very nice finish. It’s drinks nicely and sure to go quickly. — 2 years ago

Bravado Red Blend

2014 vintage. Deep, dark, plush red blend. Mulberry, blackberry, fig, incense, dried tarragon, baked black cherry, dried purple flowers, black rocks, smoke, cedar. 39 Carignan 21 Petit Verdot 15 Syrah 13 Carmenere 6 Grenache 6 Mouvedre. Definitely lends itself to the darker sides of Syrah and Petit Verdot. Good structure, good complexity, long finish. — a year ago

Itata Valley Carignan Blend 2012

After opening up, a soft, full bodied blend. Very good! Pairs oddly well with spicy food. — 6 months ago

VIGNO Maule Carignane 2013

This did NOT suck! Luscious red and blue fruit, lavender essence, brilliant energy/acidity, some exotic spicyness dissolving into some tonal smoky minerality. Moderately long finish. I was not familiar with this producer but let the somm (at a restaurant with JB chops) guide me to something that made wonderful music with a brilliant pork collar feast. 100% Carignan...perhaps my first from Chile. And still a baby...should be even more fantastic in the 2020's. — 2 years ago
