This was a lovely red and very true to its origin in Piedmont though perhaps a bit more full bodied than you’d suspect from a mostly-Barbers wine. Delicious and held up well with a hearty pot roast. Had the 2017 vintage. — 3 years ago

Just a hint of effervescence when first opened. It’s light and bright without much acidity, but much more flavorful than Sancerre or Chenin Blanc, and without too much citrus. Slight sweetness, like a honey crisp apple.
We had it with Argentine shrimp cooked in butter and red pepper and it was was heavenly. — 2 months ago

Sparkling Erbaluce in Alba from benchmark producer. Learned that outside of Canavese, the name Erbaluce cannot be used. It seems that sometimes the Italians - and Alto Piedmontese (a name we in the US bestowed on a them) let their hyper local regional alliances and squabbles - undermine their global marketability.
