Chateau Ste. Michelle & Dr. Loosen

Eroica Single Berry Select Riesling 2000

#AgedWineTuesday

This is a great collaboration between Chateau Ste Michelle and Dr. Loosen.

Brown in color with a brick rim.

Full bodied and bold.

Sweet on the palate with high acidity.

This 22 year old is showing citrus, prunes, dried figs, raisins, honeydew, spices, honey suckle, red apples and pineapples.

Extremely sweet and a bit unbalanced, although very yummy.

Wine Spectator 98 points.

Very tasty by itself as a dessert. I loved the nose more than the palate.

7% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Eroica Columbia Valley Riesling 2019

2019. Small list, but this off-dry WA Riesling paired really well with a spicy jerk chicken entree. — 5 months ago

Eroica Ice Wine Riesling 2006

I'm stunned to find an ice wine I like. Sweet but well balanced and with strong creamy/buttery notes. — 8 years ago

Eroica Gold Riesling 2016

I said “very figgy” 18 times after tasting this and as such those are my notes. Definitely bigger than a lot of sweet Riesling — I think it would be yummy with rich desserts. — 10 months ago
