Blanc Graves White Bordeaux Blend 2021

Not sure if this is the label but it’s a graves Blanc. 2021 appellation graves controlee. Easy white. A bit sweet. Easy to drink but absolutely burnt my palate on some calm chowder. Great day at the lobster pound enjoying a nice white. Would get it again. Fruit forward, good nose. Easy as this afternoon. — 3 months ago

Peter - any Bordeaux recos that are approachable? One wine I don’t know a lot about.

@Kevin Hyatt— since I’m a NYer I can’t resist giving directions even if I’m not sure(Bordeaux is not my strong suit, spent many years in an anti snobbish, but snobbish, snit against Bordeaux). That said, I’m going to assume your price point is below 50$, & ideally below 30$: for Blanc, my perennial love is : Château Ducasse, a heavy on the semillion blend. I have some reviews probably here. For red, ignoring the 100$ field,-Chateau Gruaud Larose is a favorite-I prefer “older”, ie leafier & less fruity. That said, Chateau Gloria for around 50$, though richer than I prefer. For under 20$ there are a surprising number of Bordeaux of good quality-chateau Prade 2016 you can get at the Inwood store we talked @ for under 18$. Any Bordeaux superior from ‘15 is worth a snag almost!
