Great to compare with Millot. While my palate preference is in the old world, this wine delivers, and Dani prefers Machado over Millot. Supple ripe fruit from Chehalem mntns with sweet tea, wet leaves and moss underscoring the cherry berry lushness. Hints of vanilla and campfire. This 2012 #carinena blend Reserva is wonderful. It does open up after almost an hour but is fruit-forward with a touch of the regional Spanish bell pepper notes. I agree with another reviewer, it does pair well with pizza. — 8 years ago
