The wine pours a medium gold color with promising honeysuckle, baked apple, melon, and baking spice aromas. On the palate it's full bodied for a wine that sees no ML. It's harmonious with bright acidity and a hint of tannins that add to its delightful structure. It shows baked white peach and apple, melon, a bit of nectarine and baking spice flavors with a lingering finish. This is a great winter white! The fruit was sourced from the Bonofiglio Vineyard, owned by Glenn McGourty and his two brothers. It's a seven-acre organically farmed vineyard is located five miles north of the town of Hopland. It was aged in neutral French oak for five months with lees contact and stirred once a month to increase mouthfeel. 14.2% abv — 10 years ago

Two rare things combined: 1) a stunning California Viognier 2) Viognier in a can: fresh apricot, white nectarine, white flowers, key lime, mineral notes and lots of moxie. Not your grandmother’s perfume. The Maker label was conceived by two visionary young women (on the zoom call) and the Viognier is from the team at campovida. Cheers to more serious winemakers giving the can a try — especially when it comes to aromatic, fruity whites. Great for the outdoors, fits neatly in a purse, more sustainable and cost effective. Hooray for single serving sizes :) — 6 years ago

Really digging this @Campovida Carignane! Ruby color with earthy dark fruit aromas. Light bodied but focused with blackberry, plum and a bit of black currant flavors with dusty tannins and a bit of minerality. Light and fresh. Not too sweet, just the right acidity. Nice nose. I could drink like 3 bottles with friends out in the sun. — 12 years ago

Deep violet color with appealing black and red fruits, damp earth, dried herb and a bit of spice aromas. On the palate it's a light-bodied, fresh, round, and elegant with well integrated sweet tannins. Strikes me as much more feminine in character compared to Italian Negroamaros I've had. Shows flavors of black berry, red plum, fig, strawberry, and a hint of spice flavors. Lingering finish. Retail - $36 14.5% abv. 3 barrels produced. — 11 years ago

I’m a sucker for great Grenache. If it can age all the better. Boozy raisins and blueberries. — 5 years ago
