Sadly just about a year too late on this one. Marvelous rich dark fruit. One of the bottles we shipped back from our NZ trip. Shame, but bringing back lovely memories. Giving good rating based on tasting at the winery. — 5 years ago

Wow. Dig it. Pear and pineapple, farmhouse-y and delicious acidity on the finish. — 7 years ago
Apples and peaches but having with pizza near MIT in Cambridge — 3 years ago
Actually one of the really good tasting champagnes that isn’t too dry or sweet. Great combo of both. Recommended by guy at Cambridge Wine and Spirits. — 4 years ago
Waving at the F train. Got flipped the bird TWICE, but the wine was great. Except when my chair broke and I spilled a whole glass. — 7 years ago

The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru certainly has one of the more attractive bouquets with redcurrant and cranberry, a touch of tobacco and marine aromas (cockle sheds I used to play on in the Thames Estuary). The palate is well balanced, with a touch of curry leaf on the entry and more black than red fruit. The 2014 has a firm grip with a noticeable backbone, yet the finish has plenty of freshness. Drinking well now, but there are a few years left to enjoy. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)
