Made with Oseleta grapes which give the wine a unique character and complementing the Veronese grapes. Deep red with aromas of dark Berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate, this full body wine shows ripe jammy Berry fruits, a touch of and cacao with sweet vanilla spice. Fine smooth tannins, generous oak and well balanced. You can taste the dried grapes (dried for 2 months) on the long lingering finish. A great value. Tasting Sample. — 10 years ago

drank 1998 on October 10,2016. Expecting a bad bottle and it rocked. Still good fruit and acid though glad I drank it now. — 10 years ago

Made with 80% Corvina, 10% Rondinella and 10% Oseleta selecta grapes which give the wine a unique character, aged for 24 months. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate, this full body wine shows ripe cherry, plum and jammy blackberry with smoke, tobacco and cacao. Fine tannins, still tight, long finish, integrated oak, well balanced, ending with jammy fruit and sweet spice. A great value. — 5 years ago
Super concentrated. Thick intense opening. Very boozy and yet once it opens the wine reveals a new dimension, more licorice and sweet raisin, some earthy dusty nuances. Retains a balance through its spicy finish. — 10 years ago

Very well structured on the palate. Alcohol a bit too present on the nose. Almost has the nose of bourbon! Dark fruit, sweet tobacco, touch of cocoa, baking spices on the finish. Soft integrated tannins. Feels cozy. Went great with pasta and spicy pork sausage with a red vodka sauce. — 11 years ago
2009 From a particular Cru in Castelrotto, a real Clos or "Brolo" that gives organic grapes. A benchmark for Valpolicella Superiore lovers. — 13 years ago
