Delicious sparkling from Brazil. Citric fruits, white flowers and fresh bread notes. Decent alcohol balance and refreshing acidity. This wine is made using the champenoise method and honestly it literally tastes as good any champagne from France or Franciacorta from Italy. — 6 years ago
Branco encorpado. Diferente dos brancos convencionais. Ótimo com gorgonzola. — 8 years ago

Cume do Avia’s premium white, the 2019 Branco dos Canotos is a blend of Lado, Caíño Blanco, Albariño, Loureira Blanca from 10-15 years old vines. Complex, quite unusual nose with aromas of hay and pistachio. Citrus flavors on the palate. Dry, mineral, vibrant, racy acidity. Nice saline, slightly bitter finish. — 4 years ago
Cheesy, nutty, obviously got quite a lot of age on it but only more full of character for it. Dried apricot fruit and a nose that smells like a barn. — 7 years ago
Aroma de amendoas, café, baunilha, torradinha, chocolate branco. Acompanhou muito bem nosso risoto de fungi — 2 years ago
Really fresh and similar to green wine from Portugal. Very nice! — 5 years ago
This is the perfect fucking wine. Love it sooooo much — 7 years ago
Excellent start to a great first day in Porto. This older white port delivered a ton of mild rich barrel character and honey character without too much sweetness. — 8 years ago

This wine is from a tiny family farm on Terceira island in the Azores. They provide about 1000l per year. It is clearly an island wine with all the usual minerality that you expect from a wine from the azores but it is a bit more complex than most. The beautiful golden color is achieved by oxidation for a few hours before bottling the wine. As far as I know, this wine is only available on the island and even here only in very few places. So I recommend getting it if you have the chance. Also visit the vinery if you can. The family is super nice and they have plenty more things to try out. — a year ago
