Young Silvia Barbaglia makes fantastic wines in this tiny Northern Piemonte DOC. Boca is a blend from Nebbiolo and Vespolina. This 2006 has aged beautifully and smells like Nebbiolo dried roses, intertwined with Vespolina violets. Elegant and profound, perfectly balanced and very good length. Very enjoyable. Rich and full bodied, a soft initial mouth feel followed by a good sense of structure, shows well integrated tannin. Dark, almost stewed fruit (in a positive way). The Sangiovese and Cab Save come together well in this interesting wine that reminded me of a Puglian Primitivo in some respects. — 7 years ago
