The age is definitely a bonus for this wine: smoke, rich damp earth, black cherry,plum, a bit of black olive and a hint of tobacco, soft tannins, and a nice pairing with broiled lamb chops. It's not a very complex wine, but a solid Syrah for the price ($26) — 10 years ago

Had the 2011 last night at Las Ventanas al Paraiso (Rosewood) in Los Cabos. This plus their 2013 Chardonnay were amazing. Loving my Mexican wines. Low alcohol, nice distinguished fruit. This was classic Stags Leap style. — 11 years ago
