Really good. Dry and fruity. Easy to drink — 6 years ago
Very dark purple-red in colour. The nose is clearly new-world with rich fruit compote and eucalyptus.
Medium bodied with medium + tannins and low acidity. Palate is more subdued than the nose with cassis, licorice and subtle spice and meat. Low alcohol feel.
Benefitted from airing considerably. Recommend a decanter and standing time. Would pair well with steak, burgers, oily fish and heavy pastas. Would be interesting with further age. — 9 years ago

On the nose, explosion on blue and purple florals. Ripe, lush; blackberries, black raspberries & black plum. Sweet tarry notes, black licorice, dark rich soil with crushed rocks, pepper, light vanilla & cinnamon with lavender & purple florals.
On the palate; ruby, ripe, dark currants, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum. Big tarry notes, black licorice, dark rich soil with crushed rocks, big dark, negro rocky minerals, tough leather, pepper, light vanilla & cinnamon with lavender & purple florals. Big round acidity, ripe fruits and heavy driven mineral finish. This one needs 8–10 years in bottle.
