Solid carricante. Slightly salty nice acidity full bodied. Big mouthfeel — 8 years ago
This is a stunning single vineyard Etna Bianco, Biondi’s grand cru white, a blend of primarily Carricante, that clearly shows the potential of Etna Bianco in the right hands. Salty, faintly floral, deep golden in the glass, a mineral and acid wash spread over the palate. Yellow flowers, quince hay and some pine needles are the primary aromatics. Palate is saltwater taffy; lemon curd, and some pear. Deep and luscious and so long. Subtle oxidation and oak. I think it would be fascinating to hold this for 10 more years, I’m sure it would develop well and I don’t think it would be anywhere near tired. — 3 years ago

Lovely body and mellow honeyed notes make this white sing. As always from opentuesdaywines.com, bracing acidity to hold it all up. — 2 months ago
