This review is for the 2017 Cab Franc Sans Oak. Yes, you read that correctly, sans oak. Served chilled. It’s the grown up version of rosé. It’s mature and smooth and delicate. And it’s just a wee bit chewy and a nice set of stone fruit notes ... cherry. And yet very raw ... not mature. No tannin flavors ... no acid. Just delicate ... not at all what I associate with cab franc. Try it. Chilled. Instead of rosé. On the hottest August day with a grilled pork loin. — 8 years ago

2017 very surprised excellent for a local wine!!! Technique of skins, oak and tank makes it the perfect combination. Not too oakey or unoaked just right! Hope I can find this vintage. — 4 years ago
Dry. Beautiful. — 7 years ago
Absolutely interesting. Serve chilled. It has waves of complex notes. Starting with a nice fruit flavor. Almost no tannin/bitter note - so I see why people don’t love it. But I do - it’s an innovative take on the cab franc — 8 years ago
Sawmill creek Pinot Gris . Dry with some citrus acidity. Billsboro is one of my favorite wineries in the finger lakes. — 8 years ago
