Rather enjoyable SB and another really nice TX white wine produced by Benedicte Rhyne from Aix-en-Provence! Lemongrass nose. Entry is lemon and granny smith apple. Entry of this wine is acidic, the middle a little more velvety. Finish definitely has a nice little citrus component. Probably rating this one a little low actually, and compared to other SB's, this one is more on the lighter side. — 8 years ago

Golden raisin, honey and candied grapefruit. — 3 years ago
2014 Roussanne from a Texas winery, winemaker Benedicte Rhyne from Aix-en-Provence. Not current vintage, although current vintage is sold out too! This one sells out fast, and no question why. Acid up front is more attenuated, peach and kiwi have started to replace lemongrass and honeydew noted a year ago. This is the first Texas white I have been confident to age a year or longer. Based on this expression today, I have a feeling this one has a lot more ahead, quite easily! Nice finish with sharper acidity. Cheers! — 8 years ago

@Delectable Wine this is the new Kuhlmanation White blend which is 60 Marsanne and 40 Roussanne. It was released about a week ago and therefore not in the database.
I cannot say enough positive things about the winemaker here, Benedicte is a fantastic wine maker from Provence, and this 60-40 split is no exception. Started out with a lot of tart lime and lemon rind with quite a bit of acidity. Not only did this calm down as the wine oxidized, but also calmed down with food. This one had everything from grapefruit to Kiwi, lime to melon, and really did soften and round out in the finish to a really nice white wine that has 14% ABV and a rather solid chance to age for another five to seven years. I am always impressed with the white wines offered by this producer. Doing incredible things! — 7 years ago
Carmen
An incredibly powerful, oxidative wine from Jura. The intensely nutty, salty, oily, honied flavors were magical with the “Pastured chicken, preserved lemon, garlic confit” dish which tasted braised and white-saucey.
This would also be perfect with stinky cheese! — a month ago
