Other producer so hard to find around being from Molise. The reputation of the region isn't supersonic, but Steiger-Kalena is on a diferent shelf from anyone else i reckon.
I been wanting to go and visit for years, but i had not tasted the wines for so long.

Rosato that combines complexity with easy drinking attitude. It's long for sure

I recommend you get hold of their top of the range Rosato and Rosso(i think they are both called Torre Kalena) they should be in the room with the Valentini Cerasuolo and Montepulciano.

Loved this! Drank it at a wine bar in Innsbruck with Andrew (Kym, Helen, and Tamara joined us). Nose was slightly musty but it had the most beautiful hint of sweetness. Absolutely delicious. — 9 years ago

Rosato not Rosso
It has a dedicated vineyard for this top of production rosato
I put it in the same bracket with the Valentini Cerasuolo for now, i will definitely taste again to confirm, but for now it's love at first sight.
This is more expensive than the rosso.
I had never seen it anywhere, Giulio was explaining how in Italy there's a refusal to pay a wine from Molise same price with a Barolo, but you have to try the wine i say. — 3 years ago
