2022/5/31-6/1 with ayu karaage, hachiku several ways, niku-dofu, etc. This is my favorite of the lower-priced Léa reds - there’s really nice acidity and flesh, and enough age to be fully open with hints of complexity but still with vibrant fruit. Really good on day 2 as well. — 3 years ago
Such a great value and well balanced. I enjoyed it slightly chilled. Although it had some very subtle melon and floral notes, it did not really register as “sweet”. It was more in the aromas and had a bit of a savory, nutty finish. The texture of it was quite nice as well! — 6 years ago

Gakki Masamune
• Brewery: Shindo Shuzo, Fukushima
• Style: Typically Junmai or Junmai Ginjo
• Profile: Gakki Masamune has developed a cult following in Japan, often described as approachable and silky. You can expect clean fruit notes (apple, melon), moderate umami, and a soft texture. Not aggressively aromatic like a flashy daiginjo, but well-balanced and easy to pair with food. Supposedly dry but I still found it to be on the sweet side. — 2 months ago
