Great paired with a red sauce pasta — a month ago
Silky smooth and still drinking well at 19. — 18 days ago
v09. Really good!! Peppery, black cherry licorice nose. Round, rich, deep black cherry fruit. Smooth, long, slightly dry, soft chalk, white pepper and mocha finish. Nicely balanced, this what first time wine drinkers think wine should taste like! — a month ago
Dark ruby with aromas of blackberry, stewed red fruits, cedar/oak, and a bit of smoke. On the bud, it’s rich and full bodied with nice acidity. It has a slight tanginess with more red fruits. Of course, great with our pasta! — 12 days ago
Amazing wine. Need to find more of this! — 19 days ago
Took a flyer buying this from Benchmark. Bottle was in perfect condition, but sadly past its peak. Nose was outstanding - huge - chocolate, spice box. Had lost any acidity to balance the huge fruit. And at 17%, it kicked our ass. Would love to try a slightly younger rendition. — 2 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
One of the wines that has made Allegrini famous, vineyard surrounds Villa della Torre. A blend of about 40% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella & 5% Sangiovese, deep Ruby color with aromas of dried berry fruit and pepper spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with vanilla, figs and licorice notes, good balance, lively acid with fine chewy tannins. Medium finish ending with fruit, mineral and earthy spice. Nice value. — 20 days ago
