Single parcel Mencía from a southwest facing slope of 80ish year-old vines. Opened yesterday along with the Viñas de Aldea (village version) the Aldea was much more approachable. Today the Seoane has really opened up, but does need a little cellar time (or a big decant) IMHO. Strawberry, graphite, wild herbs, black pepper, very fine tannin and vibrant acidity. 600ish bottles produced. — 10 years ago

Great taste, absolutely loved it in flavors, bouquet and texture. I hope we find it again because it was a rare find! Pity I didn't look up the vintage year. — a year ago
Really pretty color. Good nose and great leather aroma. Terrific plum with a soft and silky finish. Not tannic…really good. — 4 years ago
I've never had a 100% based Graciano grape Rioja before but this was exquisite. The flavours were full and rich and the body was intense. 10/10 would drink again and highly recommend. — 10 years ago
Adored this. Almost like Northern Rhone Syrah, smoke and violets and meat. Galicia in full force on the list at Aldea. — 12 years ago

Deep cherry red with violet. Good aroma! Oak vanilla. Rose flowery. Red cherry. Slight meaty. Sweet aroma. Clove nutmeg cinnamon. Complexity. This is for wine lovers. Minerally. It is for more tasting its taste one than enjoying drinking.
