Tenuta Carretta Bric Paradiso Roero DOCG Riserva 2015: Beautiful nose. Bright red fruits. Cherry. Tobacco. Earth. Oak. A perfect balance with a smooth, dry finish. All in all, an excellent & true representation of the Nebbiolo grape varietal and the obvious, clear winner & favorite of the evening’s backyard wine challenge! This is a top Nebbiolo and one that I will store & savor again in years to come! Cheers🍷 — 2 months ago

Xmas dinner wine. Needed a lot of airing. Improved a lot. — a year ago
Wonderful. Complex, medium body, not overly astringent. — 2 years ago
On the nose, day old citrus zest, culinary herbs, possibly a light pear note.
On the palate, citrus, thyme, clean finish, balanced acidity.
I like Arneis, but the main line market producers I've experienced always felt like they just wanted to bottle something from Roero and move on each vintage, this is nice and I would buy it again. — 4 years ago

Prior notes still apply, wonderful bottle!
Light yellow-green on color. Nose is beautiful white flowers, Gardena, Honeysuckle and Orange blossom, just wonderful. Palate is lightly sweet, but so well balanced with savory notes, minor frizzante and medium-low acidity.
Final bottle from the cellar. — 2 years ago
Light but very good pepper and fruit mixture of flavor. Slight dust on the sides of the tongue but perfect with a dry cheese. — 2 years ago
Decanting...Planning to pair this with Osso Buco tonight, so it's going to be a little more time until I get to notes on this bottle. (The veal shanks are the size of an outstretched hand...I can't wait!)
Nebbiolo how I love you in all your forms...
On the nose, over ripe strawberry, dried cherry, smokey chocolate (oh how I'd love to eat smokey chocolate!).
On the palate, very smooth after 5+ hours decant with tannin only on the end of the finish, smoked truffle, dried strawberry, loamy mineral.
Revisit in 5+ years on remaining stock. Expected life 8-12 years.
Perfect pairing with Osso Buco, after a 3+ hour braise the veal was spoon-able tender. — 4 years ago
