Blue Franc Washington State Blaufränkisch 2014

Wow, I have been missing out… First time tasting Blaufränkisch and impressed! The deep rusty red brick red wine has aromas of wild blueberries, violets and potting soil. Rich blackberry, raspberry, cherry, dark chocolate loaded with allspice, cinnamon and pepper notes. I love the boisterous acidity, dense structure and prominent tannins. I imagine this would go nicely with smoked sausage, Gailtaler Almkäsewiener cheese, schnitzel, red cabbage and spaetzle. — 3 years ago

Lake County Zinfandel 2015

This garnet colored wine is dry, firm in texture and a mix of blackberry and cherry. I’m not tasting blueberry, as others may. It’s excellent and pairs well with beef and cheese. — 5 years ago

Jammy, good to begin with and got better after 30 minutes. Can't remember the price but if we got it for under 15 seems like a great value for a zin. — 7 years ago
