2013 is very satisfying. Hints of vanilla are on the label and very dry. No mineral, which is good as far as I am concerned. I taste green herbs and an earth tone. At the end I taste a faint vanilla, however that could be the influence of the label. It is definitely a food wine. — 7 years ago

Like the darkness at the bottom of a well, the flavors of this wine seem to be everywhere and bottomless. Baked blackberry pie, Smokey spice, clove, cocoa and leather are all there in this dark rich wine. A finish that seems to wrap you up and envelope the air around you. Hillside Vineyards tests the grower and the vines, but the results can be extraordinary.
