Stout, upstanding and ready to deliver as good as it gets ~ the Juggernaut is all that is good about Cabernet near the Napa Valley. Hillside Vineyards tests the grower and the vines, but the results can be extraordinary. Black currant, cherry, new Mercedes leather, cassis, and the scent of cassis and licorice are just one side of the scale of this wine. This wine is fierce, brave and delicious. WK — 6 years ago

Very bold. Jammy in the mouth. Feel a twinge of mineral and thankful it isn't heavy. Very bold blackberry in flavor. Very deep inky color. Herb flavors as well. Good year for this cab. 2010 — 8 years ago

Oh my! I saved several of these to reach 2019. Well worth it! The fullness and flavors are very very nice. I love the extreme cedar and vanilla. Well worth the wait. — 6 years ago

2013 is very satisfying. Hints of vanilla are on the label and very dry. No mineral, which is good as far as I am concerned. I taste green herbs and an earth tone. At the end I taste a faint vanilla, however that could be the influence of the label. It is definitely a food wine. — 7 years ago

Fruit forward. Ample tannins. A little bit of a bitter taste at the end. A lot of black berry is what I taste. — 9 years ago

Like the darkness at the bottom of a well, the flavors of this wine seem to be everywhere and bottomless. Baked blackberry pie, Smokey spice, clove, cocoa and leather are all there in this dark rich wine. A finish that seems to wrap you up and envelope the air around you. You’re stuck at the bottom of a well, but at least you’ve got a great bottle of wine. — 7 years ago

I bought this wine in 2009 and am just now having them. Put them down for a 10 year wait. Well worth the wait. Very intense and jammy. Love the boldness. I love older Cabs. — 7 years ago
