Interestingly I liked this right when I opened more than after a few hours of air. Vanilla bean, raspberries, milk chocolate, tons of baking spice, wood. This tastes like saldo from the prisoner with a bit of restraint. — a year ago
$15/Whole Foods and $10/Costco. Good $15 wine; awesome $10. Substitute for Saldo. — 10 years ago
Lovely Zinfandel from California. Paired it with Indian food prepared by Nick’s mom. Had it with Amel, Roza, Nick and Nick and Roza’s moms — 4 months ago
Part of The Prisoner Family. Not bad - sort of same level as their Saldo (zin). Affordable and nice table wine. — a year ago
Been drinking it since 1993! Bottle was under $30. Don't believe Davis Phinney in charge, but still yummy. Try his location wines too! Other top OS Saldo and Mercury Head — 6 years ago
I've tried a few chenin blanc wines and this is one of the better ones. It has an interesting flavor that oddly reminded me of my grandma's basement. Priced pretty high ...$25 ish. I really love their bottling and the cork even says saldo on it. Simple and cute. — 5 months ago
Like Saldo. Almost as good. — 5 years ago

Dark berries, black pepper and dark chocolate. Perfect with a tomahawk steak! This wine will age well! — a month ago
