The Brat Grenache Syrah 2011

Prospect 772 ‘The Brat’ Sierra Foothills 2011: Rich texture. Round tannins. Bold flavors of dark fruit with a smooth spice finish. A robust Californian Rhône red blend consisting of 75% Grenache/25% Syrah that opened up nicely after 30 mins! Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago

Halowed Ground Two Blondes Vineyard Cabernet Franc Blend 2012

Been holding this for 3 years or so. Super dig what these guys are doing. Let it decant for an hour and it’s as fresh as all hell. BlackBerry, roasted birds-eye peppers, and a party in your mouth. — 4 years ago

Venge Vineyards

Block I-4 Stagecoach Vineyard Syrah 2014

Compared to the prospect 772 brawler, this is not quite as rich (but certainly a big wine). Good acidity. — 6 years ago

@TheSkip i cant think of another winery who makes better wine under 40 bucks. Hell, it's hard to find a good (red) wine under that price

Pierre Callot

Avize Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

You can't ask much more from a Champagne. This new label was just released on the Avize Grand Cru, and this bottle was disgorged in only October of 2017. If you want one of the freshest Blanc des Blancs in the market, buy this now. High acid, mineral, tense, penetrating, saline, citrus, and only improves with time. Good luck holding onto it, we drank 3 bottles in less than 4 hours. Truly one of the great values to be found today. Available at Prospect Wine Shop in Park Slope. — 6 years ago
