Delicious. Heavy blackberry and raspberry flavors with subtle hints of anise and spices. Delicious and a very much a lightweight cab. — 3 months ago

Nervo Ranch Heritage Alexander Valley Red Blend 2021

Yes I know this is way too early but I really wanted to see where this was. From a very old “mixed black” vineyard on a hill of decomposing slate loam. With an hour of air it’s showing deep, low-toned berry fruit, cracked stones, and a little warm gravel. Structured and very old world on the palate, it’s got a youthful wall of tannin guarding it right now, but there’s nice flavor density underneath and no hint of jamminess or residual sugar. Stow it for 3-5 years at least. But it will be really good. 9.2+ — 2 months ago

Dry Creek Vineyard

Dry Creek Heritage Zinfandel 2019

Blend of 81% Zinfandel and 19% Petite Sirah, deep Ruby, almost purple color, with aromas of dark fruits, spice, floral and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of tangy plum and cherry with toasty spice, pepper and floral notes wrapped in lively acidity. Fine warming tannins, medium+ finish, good structure ending with fruit, spice and cigar box tones. Good value! Pair this with Chops or a NY Strip Steak with a wine reduction sauce. — 4 months ago

Concannon Vineyard

Heritage Petite Sirah 2006

My last bottle of this vintage and I was concerned that it might be corked. But to my pleasant surprise it was very nice for a 17 year old Petite Sirah. A little smoky at first but then it opened up and was delicious. Retained primary fruit on the pallet but not on the nose. Very light tannins with small amounts of sediment in the glass but quite a bit on the bottle neck. Paired perfectly with rotisserie lamb. — 3 months ago
