La Bas Clos de Ste. Anne Chenin Blanc 2013

A dark yellow - pale gold. See previous Delectable note from 145 weeks ago - this is most impressive. Aromatics of fruit salad, quince and herbs. A mouthful of flavour with fruit salad - quite tropical. Very different to the Chenin Blanc I had recently from the Loire Valley. This is advanced in its drinking window but still with a moreish refreshing acid finish. Chenin Blanc - an unsung hero from New Zealand. One of the 1001 wines. — a month ago

I loved this - smells sweet and decadent but is much drier than you'd think and extremely well balanced — 4 years ago

La Côte Gisborne Pinot Noir 2017

Soil, leaves, mushroom, decay. Light barnyard, soft and savory with almost no tannin. Seemingly very little oak. — 4 years ago
