Winemaker's Red Blend 2015

Dark maroon color of a perfectly ripe Bing cherry. Smells like soapstone, damp sagebrush and lavender candies. Bit of cedar perhaps too. Tastes like Winesap apples covered in black cherry jam and wild fennel fronds. But also Russian black tea which has fruit leaves and flowers in it. It’s dense and hearty. The edges are soft and rounded though. This is a tasty blend of the grapes of Boudreaux grown in the dry river lands of southern WA. — 6 months ago

Very easy to drink! Few tannins, almost zero sweetness; crisp and dry but at no expense to taste! — a year ago

Columbia Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2016

The aromatics of this wine make it a hit from the beginning. Great acidity, lingers at front of pallet. Incredible florals. Enjoying with a Ceasar Salad at their tasting room on the banks of the Columbia. — 2 years ago

Les Collines Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

This one is going to keep on going for many years. The 2015 is a dry Cab Sav but in a good way. Nice lingering finish. Tannins are good and might round out even more over time. Do not dismiss this Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s got substance! — a year ago

Mckinley Springs Vineyard Petit Verdot 2012

Been on a petit verdot kick lately. 2012 was an “easy” year to get ripe PV and this one is not overripe. The beefy tannic structure is just what I would expect. Black plum, subtle blackberry notes, some mocha and oaky notes are most prevalent. It is a solid, but not stellar example of what WA state can do with the fruit. A good side by side for something of higher caliber or a second bottle. Price point for the varietal is also a good deal. — a year ago

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

This Cabernet is ripe and full flavored. The aroma is mental tomatoes and rhubarb. The mouthfeel is with gripping tannins that provide structure. This not a Cabernet for everyone with plum and black fruits. It has a meaty flavor that invites another sip. Medium to long finish. — a year ago

Columbia Valley Viognier 2017

Seriously good Viognier - a spicy pepper like finish to complement a lemon citrusy onboard note. Clean fresh palette and a wonderful mouth feel. Excellent from start to finish! Pair with a PNW Salmon and you’ll be in heaven! — 2 years ago
