Sangiovese at its best — 3 years ago
A blend of Montepulciano (85) and aglianico(15). Aroma is a strong spicy and herbal character. Nutmeg and Rosemary. Hint of cocoa, touch of date and a bit of currant. Lots of cocoa and black cherry in the flavor. Fairly full bodied with a bit of sweetness and balanced by tannins from the barrel. Older, so somewhat musty, would love to have a younger vintage. — 10 months ago

Very big bouquet for an Italian wine. Oak and leather notes. Dark fruits. Smooth flavors rich with lightly toasted oak, leather, and dark fruits. Smooth on the tongue with low tannins. Very nice wine. — 2 months ago
