I’m a little bit disappointed with this wine. For 3y it shows surprising age - deep golden color, with ripe yellow apples & Reine Claude plums, with a bit of fresh apple pie. Round and mellow - I miss the typical mineral, steely sharpness. Esp. at this age.
On the palate this is more structured, properly mineral & steely with racy, juicy acidity and a long finish of salty lemons. Nice depth, too.
Went well with the fish, by not sure if I’m going to buy it again. — 3 months ago
Lovely Champagne - elegant, nutty, lush apple. — 10 years ago
Elegant crisp white. In the window. Nice aromas of peach and citrus on the nose. Crisp acidity. Refreshing drinking well on the patio — a day ago
The bottle had a chip on the lip that was concealed by the foil. (See upper left of photo). There wasn’t any glass released by removing the cap, so the bottle should not have been used. None-the-less, the wine was fine. The color was dark straw. On the nose the caramel aging notes are evident. On the palate more caramel notes along with oak, lemon, molasses, ginger, burnt sugar, and minerals. Medium bodied, high acid, medium alcohol, with a long finish. This is a 2009 and fully aged. — a month ago
Affordable red Burgundy with age? Yes please. — 7 years ago
Wow nose. So funky. Smoke, spice, huge mineral. Lemon, so complex. Pitter patter of complexity. Juicy and so elegant. Very pure and even a bit young. Awesome texture and has that 08 lifting acid. Finishes so so beautiful and with intense long minerality. Terrific. — 5 years ago
