A black cherry, chocolaty number that as weird as it seems I thought was just perfect in the D'Angelo winery garden in the searing heat with the kids playing about in the water spritzers, dogs lazing, and the conversation flowing. A great memory! — 6 years ago

Another nice vintage here (a vertical tasting would be amazing). 2014 was all blueberry and blackberry. There's an earthiness too. Allspice? Annually one of the great tasting stops on the bench. Come for the wine, stay for the bocce. Stay manly, my friends. — 7 years ago

D’Angelo Brigante Lucano Basilicata IGT 2017: A youthful & fruity blend of Aglianico, Merlot & Primitivo, displaying bright red fruits, soft tannins and a quick, short finish. Not lacking flavors whatsoever, however I still wanted more depth & texture which will come over time as this wine evolves toward maturity. Glad I still have 2 more bottles to cellar!
