Ruby color with a slightly gold toned rim. ￼￼This one has a funky nose. On the palate, it’s not quite sour cherry. It’s a little richer than that. Then, black pepper and vanilla extract.￼ I know I’m supposed to taste more herbal and earth tones but I just don’t. Is this one of those oaked/chocolatey Barberas? #winefolly Help! Anyway, me likey. Really a fine one this 2004, good transparency in color and consistency at taste, with a nice acidity to sustain drinkability. Awesome.
